Wooden water wagon, used to water down dusty roads during the 1910's and '20's.

The horse-drawn wagon was controlled by a teamster who released water from the tank by use of foot-pedals.

This piece was obtained from a farm near Deruyter, NY. There are no markings still visible on the wagon, but photo evidence suggests this is a 1910's - vintage Studebaker water wagon.

The wagon, along with dozens of other pieces, is on display at the Clay Historical Park.
