"The church of Santos Joans is from the Baroque period in general, combining different artistic styles.
In such a way that they can find a survival of the Gothic with Renaissance elements, especially of a decorative nature. The temple has a single nave, with a wide rectangular plan, with side chapels between buttresses. It has a simple ribbed vault roof in the first three sections.
This type of ribbing is an example of the strong disturbance of the Gothic in Valencian lands. Of the interior ornament we would highlight the Valencian ceramic planks of the chapel of the sacrament representing the characteristic emblems of the Patriarch. Another notable element would be the altarpiece over the door of the sacristy, a painting from the 17th century, which represents the Mother of God delivering the scapular.
Inside these rooms, there is a fresco painting representing the Archangel S. Gabriel bordered by a medallion. 18th century, with rococo decorative features. The 19th century communion chapel, in an academic style, has interesting paintings on the entire dome and in a sorry state, the side murals are from the 1960s, the work of M.Vaquer.
