"Built in 1901, this was the North Memphis Savings Bank. But in 1920 it became the home of the E. H. Crump Insurance Company and it was here that "Boss" Crump controlled the city and state through his political machine. The building is currently home to the Center City Commission, now known as the Downtown Memphis Commission. They also hold title to the building." (visit link)
