The location of this Eagle Scout Project Site is next to the sanctuary of the Utopia United Methodist Church at 571 Cypress Street, Utopia, Texas 78884. Eric Martinez was the Eagle Scout candidate who completed this Eagle Scout Project Site labyrinth by February 2009. The labyrinth is still actively being used by church members and visitors alike.
The labyrinth's pathway has a medieval design and is made of crushed granite rock with red brick used for the edges. There are 6-circuits leading from the opening to the center circle. The labyrinth is centered between several large oak trees that are outside of but close to the outer edge of the labyrinth. The center circle has a large bench with a back rest for any pilgrim who wants to pause and rest or pray or meditate before returning to the entrance that now becomes the exit. A labyrinth path in is the same path out.
