Home of Bank of St. Peters
The Bank of St. Peters (now Commerce Bank) chartered in Nov. 1804 was first located in the Schiobi building which stood at the present site of Uncle Elmers Tavern. Original Board Members - Aloy Schneider, C.J. Beard, J.P. Dunn, John Stratszer, & Mark Schneider

Moved to this location in 1912.

Obviously sometime it was purchased by Commerce Banks, and has that name today. The web history of Commerce Bank c does not include any history of acquiring other banks, nor can I find any historical web site for the Home Bank of St. Peters.
