"The building, formerly known as San Sebastián Hospital, was built between 1512 and 1516 by the architect Hernán Ruiz El Viejo, at the request of the San Sebastián Brotherhood.

The most notable feature of the complex is, without a doubt, the doorway that the master Hernán Ruiz I El Viejo drew around 1516. It is badly damaged by the passing of time, the poor quality of the stone and, it must be said, the neglect institutional, however, we can still enjoy this exceptional composition, decorated with plant and zoomorphic motifs.
We find ourselves before an access made up of three arches so lowered that it gives the sensation of being lintelled. A blind arch rises from the jambs that frame the doorway, whose moldings simulate an ogee arch, which rests on the aforementioned access opening.
The tympanum houses three sculptures under finely decorated canopies, in which it has been wanted to see San Pedro, San Sebastián and San Pablo. We find more sculptures among the baquetones that flank the door and the jambs, all of them arranged on corbels and covered by fine canopies in the case of the latter. On the blind arch there is a lacery decoration, typical of the Gothic style and topped with cresting."
