Holger Larsson has been collecting tractors since the 1950s and has exhibited them on his property in Överkalix since the late 1970s. More than 200 examples from different manufacturers are standing around there, mostly with a rusty appearance, since there is neither the money nor the time for professional maintenance of the vehicle bodies - however, according to Holger, the engines of the vehicles can all be started, so that one had just to invest some work (and possibly new tires) to drive the vehicle from the yard.
The museum with an extra exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in June, July and August each year, the entry fee is 50 Swedish Crowns for each adult. The tractors standing on the lawn can be visited all year round.
During our visit to the museum, we were impressed by the small group of ÖSA BMB 230 "Bamse" forest tractors from the "Östberg Smidesfabrik Alfta and Bolinder-Munktell" cooperation, which were each designed with three axles and rubber tires for use in the forest. In addition, the vehicles built between 1957 and 1962 were given chainsets for winter or particularly difficult terrain, which are placed over the tires.
