The Commonwealth Walkway - Valletta, Malta - Self Guided Walks and Trails on Waymarking.com

The Valletta Commonwealth Walkway is a walk linking significant sites of heritage and culture in the city. The route is marked with bronze markers bearing the Queen's cypher - EIIR and consists of 20 locations. The locations are not too far from each other, and you don't have to visit them in rows.

12 Upper Barrakka Gardens
13 Auberge de Castille
14 Statue of Jean de Vallette
15 National Archeological Museum
16 St John’s Co-Cathedral
17 Republic Square
18 Grandmasters Palace and Armoury
19 Casa Rocca Piccola
20 The Church of St Paul’s Shipwreck


You can find the walk on a free App or via a brochure that can be obtained in various places in the city.



The Valletta Commonwealth Walkway was opened by Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II and Minister for Tourism Edward Zammit Lewis at Customs Wharf on 28 November 2015.
