La Bomba de Vacío. Es un objeto de diseño industrial procedente de la fábrica azucarera motrileña del Pilar. Su instalación se debió a la iniciativa de Jesús González y se encuentra situada en la Avenida de Andalucía, junto a la gasolinera. La imagen iconográficamente nos remonta al pasado industrial de la comarca con una notable dependencia económica de la caña de azular. Su nueva funcionalidad estética nos proporciona una forma compleja de carácter geométrico que contracta con la formas simples de la arquitectura del entorno. Su cromatismo en tono rojo proporciona un contraste fuerte con las formas vegetales que encierra a su alrededor, lo que supone una llamada de atención para atraer las miradas de los ciudadanos que circulan por su alrededor.
The Vacuum Pump. It is an industrial design object from the El Pilar sugar factory in Motrile. Its installation was due to the initiative of Jesús González and it is located on Avenida de Andalucía, next to the gas station. Iconographically, the image takes us back to the industrial past of the region with a notable economic dependence on sugar cane. Its new aesthetic functionality provides us with a complex form of a geometric character that contracts with the simple forms of the surrounding architecture. Its chromaticism in a red tone provides a strong contrast with the vegetal forms that it encloses around it, which is a call to attention to attract the glances of the citizens who circulate around it.
