[FR] Bien avant l’arrivée du P. de Montfort se trouvait en lisière de forêt, sur « la lande de la Madeleine », une petite chapelle dédiée à Ste Marie-Madeleine. Dans certains écrits, il est mentionné qu’à cette place devait se trouver une ancienne léproserie. La chapelle actuelle a été construite en 1821, sous la responsabilité de l’abbé Gouray. Elle renferme de belles peintures de M. Paul Lemasson, relatant l’histoire du P. de Montfort, une statue de Ste Hélène, mère de l’empereur Constantin, qui fit rechercher les restes de la vraie croix. Figure aussi une statue de St Louis, patron du P. de Montfort, et une statue de St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, œuvre de M. Jean Vallet de Nantes. Elle renferme surtout le « trésor » du Calvaire « Le Christ du P.de Montfort)

[EN] Long before P. de Montfort's arrival, a small chapel dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene stood on the edge of the forest, on "la lande de la Madeleine". In some writings, it is mentioned that there must have been an ancient leper colony on this spot. The present chapel was built in 1821, under the supervision of Abbé Gouray. It contains fine paintings by M. Paul Lemasson, recounting the story of P. de Montfort, and a statue of St. Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, who had the remains of the true cross sought out. There is also a statue of St. Louis, the patron saint of Father de Montfort, and a statue of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, the work of Mr. Jean Vallet of Nantes. Above all, it contains the "treasure" of the Calvary (Le Christ du P. de Montfort).
