The Commack-Kings Park Rotary Club placed a Peace Pole in the garden of the Smithtown Library Commack Branch. The Peace Pole is an internationally recognized symbol of the hope and dreams of the entire human family. The Peace Pole bears the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in different languages on each of its sides. This pole is over six feet high with vertical writing on each of the sides of the four sides of the pole, in eight different languages.
Languages: English, Bengali, Hebrew, Italian, Chinese, Polish, Spanish, Tagalog.
