Appears to be similar to a can opener. Made from stainless steel. 7 foot 6 inches tall. Located in the grass in front of the Arts and Sciences building. Created by David Peacock who is a former professor at UTK.
"Dennis Peacock is a metal sculptor. Now retired from teaching sculpture at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Dennis dedicates his full time to his own work."

 DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH: Nothing different was noted. The descriptive plaque was basically unreadable until I wiped the grime and dirt off of it. Maybe it will be good for a while again.
