The final resting place of Louise McCaleb is at the lower level of the Abbey Mausoleum at Rose Hill Burial Park. She shares a crypt with her husband Burt. To visit Louise and Burt's crypt, enter the Abbey Mausoleum from the north (across the street from the office). Take the stairs to the lower level, then face right. Take an immediate right, and head down the long hallway that runs north-south. Pass the first hallway on your right, and continue to the second right hallway, which is almost to the end. Turn right into this hallway, and the crypt is on your immediate left (2nd column, very top level).

Louise McCaleb's first husband Oscar died at the young age of 34-35, only 10 years after they married, and about 72 years before her. Her second husband, Burt, preceded her in death by 37 years.

Louise's obituary, from The Oklahoman:

Louise Dever McCaleb was born Jan 1, 1908 in Wetumka, OK to the late James F. Busey and Roxanne Meadors Busey. She passed away the 24th day of October, 2008, in Edmond, OK.

She married Edward Oscar Dever and to this union two sons were born, Jack Busey Dever who died Sep 12, 2003 and William Thomas Dever. Her husband died unexpectedly in Sep, 1936, leaving her alone to raise her two small sons.

In 1950 she married J. Burt McCaleb and inherited four stepchildren, Nita Roper, the late John McCaleb, Marion McCaleb and Neal McCaleb. She had five brothers and sisters, all of whom predeceased her. She loved antiques, to cook, do needle work, read, shop and travel.

She is survived by her son, William T., and is wife, Linda, of Edmond, OK; daughter-in-law, Marcia Dever, of OKC; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct 28. 2008 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, followed by interment in Rose Hill Mausoleum, OKC.
