"Culminant à 438 mètres d'altitude, le mont Saint-Michel est un sommet situé dans le parc naturel régional des Vosges du Nord, sur le territoire de la commune de Saint-Jean-Saverne. Il est occupé depuis bien longtemps par l’humain (4 000 ans avant notre ère). C’est en effet un endroit sacré, qui servit de lieu de culte païen et qui aurait même été un point de rassemblements de sorcières.
En haut de la colline, se dresse la chapelle Saint-Michel. A l'arrière de cet édifice religieux se trouve le rond des sorcières et la table d'orientation désignant une magnifique vue dégagée sur la vallée et l'agglomération de Saverne. En contrebas du rocher, on peut découvrir la grotte, le sarcophage creusé dans la pierre et le trou des sorcières.
Installée en 1963 et rénovée en 2003, la table d'orientation panoramique permettant aux visiteurs et randonneurs d'identifier les villages, les lieux et sommets proches ou éloignés. Par beau temps, on peut distinguer les cimes de la Forêt Noire et la pointe de la cathédrale de Strasbourg. Ces indications sont gravés sur un moulage en bronze recouvert d'un plexiglas de protection."

"Culking to an altitude of 438 meters, Mont Saint-Michel is a summit located in the regional natural park of the Northern Vosges, on the territory of the commune of Saint-Jean-Saverne. It has been occupied for a long time by humans (4,000 years before our era). It is indeed a sacred place, which served as a place of pagan worship and which would even have been a gathering point for witches.
At the top of the hill, stands the Saint-Michel chapel. At the back of this building is the circle of witches and the orientation table designating a magnificent unobstructed view of the valley and the agglomeration of Saverne. Below the rock, one can discover the cave, the sarcophagus dug in the stone and the hole of the witches.
Installed in 1963 and renovated in 2003, the panoramic orientation table allowing visitors and hikers to identify villages, places and peaks, nearby or distant . In good weather, you can make out the peaks of the Black Forest and the tip of Strasbourg Cathedral. These indications are engraved on a bronze casting covered with a protective Plexiglas."
