This building has architecture dating from 1891, and It was the old municipal palace that was remodeled in 1980 to become the San José del Cabo City Hall.
"the municipal house, located on Mijares Street, whose façade was made up of nine openings with semicircular arches, one of which served as the main entrance; a continuous cornice on the upper part and a partial cornice over the openings; in the center of the façade was a tower where a clock was placed, which began to mark and control the time in the town of Josefina as of 1904. In its interior, there was a town hall, adorned with the portraits of the priest Miguel Hidalgo and José Antonio Mijares; one more for the treasury and the jail and mayor's office departments."
