St. Joseph Polish Catholic Cemetery is home to over twenty thousand grave sites. The large cemtery is on the west side of South Bend. This modest veterans memorial is near the center of the cemetery. The monument is constructed of two different colors of granite.

 Description of Memorial: The memorial is a black and grey marble monument. The darker monument bears the text above and the Seals of the Five Armed Services, plus the Mercantile Marine. The lighter monument bears an image of the U.S. Flag. The monument rests on a concrete slab surrounded by small bushes. There is a tall flagpole behind the memorial, flying the U.S. Flag.
