Heinrich Josef (Hein) Mader (Willendorf in der Wachau, March 9, 1925 – Tjeintgum, October 31, 2011) was a Dutch visual artist of Austrian descent. In 1960 he settled in Amsterdam and worked in Tjeintgum (neighborhood of Mantgum) from 1989. Some of his works are in his former sculpture garden in Tjeintgum and in the Hortus in Haren. His works of art can be found in the Netherlands and abroad.
Originally this work of art was bought by the family Gosliga-Nieuw-Beerta.
They placed it in their garden in Laren, a small village in the neighbourhood of Lochem.
As they got older and wanted to move, they gave it to the Lochem community.
You can see it actually revolves in a small film that was shot as Wethouder Trix van der Linden opened the piece of art at is new place on the roundabout. (Source: Local Newspaper Berkelbode).
