Your choice, play in the ocean or up on the playground. Just plop yourself in the middle and you can have the best of both worlds. The nearest public parking requires a fee, but there is a bikepath adjacent to the pier that you can take to find free parking somewhere.
Restrooms are up by the parking structure to the northwest.
