The frieze in the doorway of the compass of the Convent of La Encarnación is topped by a stone relief with the theme of the Annunciation that corresponds to the door that Hernán Ruiz III made in 1583. It is over the door and a date of 1758. The Convent is BIC in Spanish Heritage.
"The Annunciation (from Latin annuntiatio), also referred to as the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Annunciation of Our Lady,[1] or the Annunciation of the Lord, is the announcement by the archangel Gabriel to Mary that she would conceive and bear a son through a virgin birth and become the mother of Jesus Christ, the Christian Messiah and Son of God, marking the Incarnation. Gabriel told Mary to name her son Immanuel, meaning "God is with us""
