The Delaware Maritime Hall of fame is located next to the Overfalls Lightship, a perfect location to honor those who served by a ship that ensured the safety of those navigating the open water. The monument stands at the center of a compass rose.
The Hall of fame was organized by the Overfalls Foundation.
The Delaware Maritime Hall of Fame honors those who have given uniquely and generously of skill, energy, hearty, and time in building Delaware's maritime heritage. Its honored inductees are engraved on the sides of this monument.
