The Czechoslovak Hussite Church is a Christian church. Its doctrine is based on the Bible and Christian tradition, and it subscribes to the Old Christian, Cyril and Methodist and Reformation traditions.

The Huss congregation of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church was built in the northern half of the square in 1924. The church was built on the basis of a decision of the Council of Elders of the Czechoslovak Church in Ceské Budejovice in September 1923. After the purchase of the municipal land, the excavation of the foundations began on 29 March 1924 and the foundation stone was laid on 20 April 1924. The construction was carried out by the local company A. Teverný according to the project of Tomáš Šašek. The work lasted until mid-July. Including the roofing and installation, the construction of the H.S. was completed on 26 September and inaugurated on 28 September 1924. The financial costs, which exceeded one million crowns, were covered by voluntary collections, proceeds from charity events and state subsidies. An organ made by the local company of František Šurát was purchased for the church.

The church is designed as a three-nave basilica oriented to the north. The pair of towers on the north side is visually balanced by the raised south entrance part, which serves administrative purposes. The central space measuring 25 x 15 m is topped by a presbytery, the flat-roofed nave is 8 m high. The simply furnished interior is decorated with works by František Bílek (1872-1941), namely statues of Jan Hus and Petr Chelcický, a sacrificial table with a relief of the Last Supper and a large crucifix. The relief of the Sermon under the Linden Tree, installed in 1957, is the work of Jan Vítezslav Dušek (1891-1966). The columbarium behind the altar holds the remains of cremated members of the Hussite Church of Ceské Budejovice.

In addition to Sunday services, concerts and similar cultural events are held in the church.
