The fairly simple looking building houses the retained fire fighters of Gatton.

The firehouse has two 'identities' with a nouveau look for the flat-roofed section that house the two fire trucks behind wheat-coloured roller doors. Either side are period electric lamps. While the office is an orange-brick flat-roofed annex immediately to the east. There is a short concrete apron to the bitumen road.
