Over 225
cabanas are available for seasonal rental at
Easton’s Beach (also known as First Beach) in Newport, Rhode Island. An expansion of The Pavilion from 1887, the original beach huts were built in 1902. Most of the current structures date to 1992, replacing all the buildings which were swept away in the devastating
Hurricane of 1938.
The wood shingle-clad buildings are arranged in ten parallel rows on an elevated deck and arranged with north-south walkways. Beach goers here enjoy panoramic ocean views to the south and the Cliff Walk along the west side of the bay. Annual membership is open to town residents and non-residents. (See: Bath House Map) Permit parking for beach hut members is available beneath the deck on a first come, first served basis.
