In 1962 the RS Barsebäckshamn life rescue station was founded.
Barsebäckshamn station was built in 2013. Today the have 2 boats and a jet ski.
All of the rescue people are volunteers.
The most famous rescue was when 3 lifeguards rescued two water skiers who had lost control of their boat outside Barsebäck Harbor on July 24, 2021, after the driver was thrown from the boat which did not have a dead man's grip. for this, they have been nominated for best lifeguard.
