Impressive views of Prague's panorama are possible from both banks of the Vltava River. Last time, we were on the left bank of the river (visit link) , and today we will head upstream to the right bank. Our destination will be the rocky promontory of Vyšehrad. We have been here once before during our visit (visit link) . Back then, we chose the more comfortable approach from the metro on the eastern side of Vysehrad, but today we will take a slightly more challenging route directly from the Vltava embankment. By climbing the stairs, we will overcome several tens of meters in elevation and find ourselves right by the walls of the former
Vysehrad Fortress. Through a narrow opening, we will be offered a view of the silhouette of Prague Castle. Additional viewpoints can be found within the inner part of Vyšehrad Fortress.
