If travelling along the highway, the metal rod is located about 635 feet to the northeast of the turnoff for the southerly Burnt Hollow BLM trailhead and about 245 feet to the southwest of the turnoff to a northwest-leading ranch road. I suggest parking at the turnoff to the ranch road. The mark is about one foot southeast of the right-of-way fence and about one foot northeast of a fiberglass witness post; it is recessed about one inch beneath the surface of the ground.
