History
The bastion on the embankment of the Olšina pond probably dates from the first half of the 15th century, and its present appearance is from the 18th century. Together with the pond, completed around 1390, it originally belonged to the Monastery in Zlatá Koruna, from whose property it passed to the lords of Rožmberk, and in 1622 it was acquired by Jan Oldrich of Eggenberk. After the demise of the Eggenberg family in 1719, the entire estate of Ceský Krumlov became the property of the Schwarzenbergs, whose property was seized by the state in 1947.

Military forests and estates
After the establishment of the Boletice Military Training Area in 1947, a branch of the company Military Forests and Estates was also established with its headquarters in Horní Planá, to which the Olšina pond and the bastion on the dam still belong today.

Exposure
A small exhibition has been set up in the building of Rybárské basty Olšina, which mainly documents the activities of the company Military Forests and Estates since the 1950s, as well as the local flora and fauna. The exposition deals only marginally with the history of the original inhabitants of the military area, the original owners of Olšina and dozens of defunct villages and settlements.
