The Ticha Fortress was first mentioned in 1360. In 1387, it came into the ownership of the Rožmberk family. In 1789, the fortress was converted into a brewery. Today, only the 12-meter-high square defensive tower has been preserved.
The main attraction for visitors is the restored tower, which features functioning medieval tile stoves and period furniture. From the tower, there is a beautiful view of the Šumava Mountains and the highest peak of the Novohradské Mountains, Kamenec.

Tvrz je poprvé zminována roku 1360. V roce 1387 prešla do vlastnictví Rožmberku. V roce 1789 byla tvrz prestavena na pivovar. Do dnešní doby se zachovala pouze 12 m vysoká obranná vež ctvercového pudorysu.
Hlavní lákadlem pro návštevníky je práve opravená vež s funkcními stredovekými kachlovými kamny a dobovým nábytkem. Z veže je krásný výhled na Šumavu a nejvyšší vrchol Novohradských hor Kamenec.
