This arch bridge carries the B993 over the River Don in Aberdeenshire, linking the town of Inverurie to the north with the smaller settlement of Port Elphinstone to the south, some fifteen miles north-west of the city of Aberdeen in north-east Scotland.
The original bridge on this site was built in 1791, but was replaced with this bridge in 1924. It carried the A96 into Inverurie until the by-pass was built to the west, it becoming the new A96, and this road now becoming the B993.
The bridge is of three spans, with a central arch over the river, with two slender piers entering the river bed on both sides. The remaining spans are cantilevered to the embankments on both sides. A balustrade parapet lines both roadways with ornamental lampposts.
