San Domenico es una iglesia católica romana de estilo gótico en Pisa , Italia. Fue erigido en 1385, bajo la dirección de Pietro Gambacorti , junto a un convento dominico . La hija de Pietro, la beatificada Chiara Gambacorti , residía en ese convento.

Entre 1724 y 1732, el interior se decoró con el estilo ornamentado del barroco tardío. La iglesia y el convento adyacente sufrieron graves daños durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Actualmente está en uso por la Orden de los Caballeros de Malta.

El interior está decorado con frescos medievales y lienzos de Giovanni Battista Tempesti que representan la Vida de la beatificada Chiara (1782).

La iglesia alberga actualmente una reliquia del Beato Gerardo , el fundador de la Orden de Malta.

San Domenico is a Gothic-style Roman Catholic church in Pisa, Italy. It was erected in 1385, under the direction of Pietro Gambacorti, next to a Dominican convent. Pietro's daughter, the beatified Chiara Gambacorti, resided in that convent.

Between 1724 and 1732, the interior was decorated in the ornate late-Baroque style. The church and the adjacent convent were badly damaged during World War II. It is currently in use by the Order of the Knights of Malta.

The interior is decorated with medieval frescoes and paintings by Giovanni Battista Tempesti depicting the Life of the beatified Chiara (1782).

The church currently houses a relic of Blessed Gerardo, the founder of the Order of Malta
