This Victorian pillar box can be found on the east side of Polmuir Road near the junction with Deemount Road in the Aberdeen district of Ferryhill which lies south of the city centre and north of the River Dee.

The embossment is an intertwined V & R towards the bottom of the box.

Polmuir Road in Ferryhill is a typical Victorian Aberdeen suburb with tree-lined pavements and solid grey granite houses. The street leads directly south to the city's Duthie Park by the River Dee.
