Aan de muren van het Schepenhuis (tegenwoordig het stadhuis van Doesburg) kun je oude nog verschillende bevestigingsringen vinden waar vroeger de paarden aan werden vastgebonden.
Het gebouw dateert hoogst waarschijnlijk uit de 15de eeuw.
"Het huidige gemeentehuis in Doesburg is een verzameling van een aantal historische panden die in de loop van de eeuwen zijn samengevoegd om het gemeentebestuur te huisvesten. Het opvallendste onderdeel is het schepenhuis dat gelegen is aan de Koepoortstraat. De datering van het gebouw is lastig. Al in 1389 wordt het schepenhuis in een bron genoemd, maar de bouwstijl van het schepenhuis lijkt eerder uit het einde van de vijftiende eeuw te komen. Ook blijkt uit bouwrestanten in het wijnhuis dat het schepenhuis tegen het reeds bestaande wijnhuis is geplaatst.
Het wijnhuis is gelegen achter het schepenhuis en ligt aan de Ph. Gastelaarsstraat. Het gebouw wordt ook wel Out Gelre genoemd. Het is gebouwd in 1420 en werd voor de bouw van het schepenhuis gebruikt door het stadsbestuur."

On the walls of the Schepenhuis (nowadays the city hall of Doesburg) you can still find several old attachment rings to which the horses used to be tied.
The building most likely dates from the 15th century.
"The current town hall in Doesburg is a collection of a number of historic buildings that have been merged over the centuries to house the municipal council. The most striking part is the aldermen's house, which is located on Koepoortstraat. Dating the building is difficult. The aldermen's house is mentioned in a source as early as 1389, but the architectural style of the aldermen's house seems to come from the end of the fifteenth century.
The winery is located behind the aldermen's house and is located on the Ph. Gastelaarstraat. The building is also called Out Gelre. It was built in 1420 and was used by the city council for the construction of the aldermen's house."
