The famous scene where Tom Cruise pulls up to a "San Diego" ocean front home is actually in Oceanside. The home sat here for many decades before only recently being relocated 1 block away to make room for a new apartment building.

Photos taken on 18 June 2023. The landscape has changed significantly because of a new apartment building where the home in the movie once was. The home was saved and was moved one block north, but the trees and ocean on the left are the same. I did my best to match the photos when I visited the site a few days ago.
