Visitando el «mercato del Pesce al minuto de Rialto» en Venecia, encontré en uno de sus muros una interesante placa de piedra.
Leyéndola me di cuenta que era el reglamento o la ley que regulaba el tamaño mínimo que debían tener las distintas especies de pescados para ser vendidos en el mercado.
muy interesante el hecho de que antiguamente las autoridades se preocuparan de aspectos ecológicos y de defensa del consumidor que muchas veces hoy no son respetados.

Otra cosa interesante, es que al ser de piedra y estar puesto en la parte alta de un muro, esto impedía que fuera roto o de que alguno de los vendedores dijese que no conocía la ley.
Este mercado, especialmente del pescado, representa una parte aún viva de una Venecia real. Los olores y el ambiente de una ciudad que sigue viva y no solo turística.
Aquí siempre ha sido el mejor lugar para comprar pescado fresco. Los mostradores de venta dan al Gran Canal y están a pocos metros de Rialto.

This market, especially for fish, represents a still living part of a real Venice. The smells and atmosphere of a city that is still alive and not just touristy.
Here has always been the best place to buy fresh fish. The sales counters overlook the Grand Canal and are a few meters from the Rialto.
