Les relations entre les deux communes sont très proches, et j'ai souvent des contacts avec Gerhard Gauermig, le maire de Gunzburg. On s'est promis de se retrouver sur ce banc, en 2018, pour partager le verre de l'amitié », a lancé Paul Le Bihan, maire de Lannion. Annick Le Page, présidente du jumelage, s'est félicitée de la date du 13 mai retenue. « On est dans la semaine de la Fête de l'Europe, qui est officiellement le 9 mai. On a l'intention de contacter l'ensemble des comités de jumelage franco-européens de la région, pour organiser une fête en 2018, à Lannion, sur le thème de l'Europe »." (visit link)
