The time capsule, located inside a solid maple cabinet, was dedicated in 1999, denoting the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1924.
Capsule text, in both English and French, reads:
Royal Canadian Air Force
75th Anniversary Time Capsule
To recognize and commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of
the Royal Canadian Air Force, a time capsule was assembled with artifacts from around the world where Canada's airmen and women served and are still serving.
This memorial is intended to honour air force personnel who have proudly served Canada and Canadians by selflessly contributing in may ways to making Canada what it is today.
PER ARDUA AD ASTRA
The capsule will be opened on 1 April, 2024, the 100th birthday of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
