Sur le mur de l'école primaire de Notre Dame des Carmes à Pont l'Abbé, se trouve une plaque rappelant le meurtre de Louis Larnicol, instituteur et de Louis Méhu, maire, par les soldats allemands. Juste à côté, face à la chapelle Saint Gabriel, se trouve cette stèle.
