There's not much to be found about this little country church, situated in the old Forest Grove community between Garvin and Idabel. As noted by their sign, they were established in 1908 and belong to the Southern Baptist Convention. The Frisco Baptist Association has a listing (see below) for them at "RR 3 Box 495, Idabel, OK 74745". They're just over three miles from Garvin, and a bit over seven from Idabel, which is a significantly larger community. Depending upon your viewpoint, the church is behind the Forest Hill Cemetery, or the cemetery is behind the church. The sanctuary itself is well-maintained, with a tabernacle behind it, but there aren't many clues as to when it was constructed. It could be an older building, but the lack of windows suggest it may be a little younger than it appears. A wild guess is sometime between 1908 and 1950.
