Leonard Springs Nature Park covers about 95 acres. There are two large springs in the park - Leonard Springs and Shirley Springs. The park entrance and parking (for perhaps a dozen cars) is at the waymark coordiantes. A network of packed-earth trails and a lengthy iron stair-path take visitors down and around the valley. Leonard Springs Trail is about 1.1 miles long. This rugged, wood chipped, natural trail with steep slopes and stairs allows views of a wetland, two caves, Shirley Springs, and several other natural wonders. This small waterfall, one of several in the area, is just below the source of Shirley Springs, below the Shirley Spring Shelter Cave.
