This typical Fife milestone can be found in Hepburn Gardens at the western end of St Andrews. It is one of many lining the route of the C65 (Fife) road that heads west out of the ancient town, eventually ending on the B939 near the village of Pitscottie five miles away.

The milestone stands against a wall on the south side of the residential road and features a cast-iron cap. The cap has clearly been refurbished and contains the original abbreviated cursive script. The placenames featured along with St Andrews, are the village of Ceres, town of Cupar, and Burntisland on the Firth of Forth coast.
