This GLO section corner marker is located on the east side of US 14-16 on the north side of Gillette.

I recommend parking in the half-circle paved lot of the nearby small office building to the south. The marker is a 1925 GLO brass cap, and is the first GLO marker that I have come across in Campbell County (they are apparently uncommon; most corners in the county are marked by USDI-Bureau of Land Management caps from the 1980s and 1990s or privately monumented corners). The marker is about 9 inches to the south-southwest of a wooden corner fencepost. It has evidently been chewed up on its west side by a lawn mower at some point in the past, but the majority of the cap is legible.
