The labyrinth is an ancient symbolic path that promotes healing and spiritual growth. It represents life's journey or spiritual pilgrimage. This seven-circuit labyrinth is in a mini Chartres design based on the one in the Cathedral in Chartres, France.
The pathway to the labyrinth center is designed to complement the concept that walking a labyrinth allows you to meditate and release your tensions and worries on the way in. At the center, you can leave those tensions and worries there and can return on the same path back with a more relaxed attitude of hope and contentment.
There is a great Quote on the Labyrinth plaque:
I shall pass this way only once: any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.
