This colorful sign, on the west side of town and on the south side of Historic Route 66, welcomes visitors to Yukon. The gold and red sign is set between stone pillars pillars. The "Yukon's Best Flour" slogan is an homage to the town's iconic flour mills, established in 1893 and at one time the largest mill in this part of the country, exporting two thousand barrels of flour per day. Bags of "Yukon's Best Flour" were exported to all fifty states and all over the world.
