Set out below is a description of the window in full.
At the apex of this window there is a trefoil which contain the text “FAITH”, “LOVE” and “HOPE” together with symbols as follows:
Faith is represented by a Christian Cross rising out of the Chalice, Love is represented by The Sacred Heart and Hope is represented by an Anchor.
Below the trefoil is St. Wenceslas of Bohemia who is depicted in royal robes and wearing a crown. He is carrying a basket of food and drink in his right hand and leading his way is a pageboy with a basket on his back lighting the way with a flaming torch.
At the base of the window is St Elizabeth of Hungary who is depicted in regal dress and wearing a crown. Wrapped in her cloak are red and white roses a reference to the miracle of the roses. She is standing at the bed side of Christ which is a reference to another of the miracles with which St Elizabeth is associated.
The stained glass of this window is the work Harcourt Medhurst Doyle whose initials and date (1963) are visible in the bottom righthand corner of the window.
Jonathan Kewley in "Pevsner Architectural Guides - Isle of Man"(ISBN: 978-0-300-22502-0) describes this window as “Vivid, like good book illustrations.”
