Hvert år vies over 500 par på Det Gamle Rådhus.
Efterfølgende er over 20000 par blevet viet samme sted.

The town hall was built in 1789 and was in use until 1840. The building is made of red brick and black half-timbering. From the start, the entire building was whitewashed. On the roof there is a small tower with a bell. From 1840 to 1906 the building was privately owned. However, the city's watchmen and firefighters had a room in the building.
From 1906 to 1909, the building was renovated and turned into a museum, mainly with local history. In connection with the renovation, the whitewash was removed from the walls and the appearance of the building returned to the red bricks with the black half-timbering. When visiting the museum, it is also possible to see the dungeon, the guardhouse and the courtroom.

The town hall is the most distinctive and well-known building in Ebeltoft. A building that all tourists pass by and photograph. In addition to being a museum, the Old Town Hall is also a sought-after place to get married. Visitors to the museum may therefore find that the first hours of opening hours - on Saturdays - are often occupied by weddings.
Every year, over 500 couples are married at the Old Town Hall. The brides and grooms come from both home and abroad.
On 14 May 1972, Anette and John Christoffersen became the first couple to be married at the town hall. Subsequently, over 20,000 couples have been married in the same place. The busiest day so far has been 11.11.11 when 31 couples were married.
