[FR] En 1875, les aéronautes Théodore Sivel et Joseph-Eustache Crocé-Spinelli meurent lors de l'ascension de l'aérostat « le Zénith » qui s'écrase à Ciron. Leur monument commémoratif se présente sous la forme d'un modeste obélisque en pierre ; l'auteur du projet, Albert Tissandier, est le frère du chimiste et aéronaute Gaston, qui échappa miraculeusement à la mort au cours de l'accident.

[EN] In 1875, aeronauts Théodore Sivel and Joseph-Eustache Crocé-Spinelli died while ascending the aerostat "le Zénith", which crashed at Ciron. Their memorial takes the form of a modest stone obelisk; the designer, Albert Tissandier, is the brother of the chemist and aeronaut Gaston, who miraculously escaped death in the crash.
