EN: "The Malagueta chimney is the only vestige that remains of the first electricity-producing factory in Malaga. It is currently constrained between 12-story apartment blocks from the 1970s and a building belonging to the Sevillana Electricity Company, in such a way that its perception is almost completely impeded.

The section of chimney that emerges above the level of the public space can be divided into three parts; base, trunk and mouth. The base is square in plan, approximately 3.5 meters on each side, differing in two parts separated by an impost. The lower part has a painted finish on plaster, except for the first meters in which there is a white stone cladding. On its south face is attached a continuous bench covered with glazed ceramic tiles. The upper part, which occupies only a quarter of the body of the base, is made of refractory exposed brick, topped with a low-profile cornice on which the rest of the panel rests. chimney. In the corners there are rounded pinnacles with pointed ends that are attached to four of the eight sides that make up the trunk of the fireplace. This is octagonal in shape with a slightly trunk-pyramidal shape, about 30-35 meters high, with sharp edges and an English rig based on the same refractory brick."
