14. maj 1972 blev Anette og John Christoffersen det første par der blev viet på rådhuset. Efterfølgende er over 20000 par blevet viet samme sted. Den travleste dag har indtil nu været 11.11.11 hvor 31 par blev viet.

Det Gamle Rådhus ligger midt i den gamle bydel i Ebeltoft. Det er bygget i 1789 og er i dag en del af Museum Østjylland. Rådhuset var i brug indtil 1840. Fra 1840 og frem til det blev restauretet 1906-09 fungerede Det Gamle Rådhus som privatbolig. Derudover havde byens vægtere og brandmandskab et vagtlokale i bygningen. Efter restaureringen i 1909 overtog fik Ebeltoft Museum Det Gamle Rådhus.
På Det Gamle Rådhus kan du se udstilling af Vagtstuen, Molbostuen, Tingstuen og Fangekælderen. Vielserne foregår i Vielsesstuen.

Every year over 500 couples are married at the Old Town Hall in Ebeltoft. The brides and grooms come from both home and abroad.
On 14 May 1972, Anette and John Christoffersen became the first couple to be married at the town hall. Subsequently, over 20,000 couples have been married in the same place. The busiest day so far has been 11.11.11 when 31 couples were married.

The Old Town Hall is located in the middle of the old town in Ebeltoft. It was built in 1789 and is today part of Museum Østjylland. The town hall was in use until 1840. From 1840 until it was restored in 1906-09, the Old Town Hall functioned as a private residence. In addition, the city's watchmen and fire brigade had a watch room in the building. After the restoration in 1909, the Ebeltoft Museum took over the Old Town Hall.
At the Old Town Hall you can see an exhibition of the Guardroom, the Courtroom and the Prison Cellar. The weddings take place in the Wedding Hall.
