[EN] In the mid-9th century, Raymond, Count of Toulouse and Viscount of Limoges, founded the Saint-Martiel priory. Between 1160 and 1184, the church, cloisters and convent buildings were built. The south-east building dates from the 18th century, but retains the 12th-century western façade. The priory was abolished in 1764, and the buildings were sold as national property during the French Revolution.
