Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church appears to share the same plot as the Oden United Methodist Church and Oden Cemetery. This church is on the north edge of the cemtery; the Methodists are just to the east. According to the sign, the church was established on August 13, 1881. The web site linked below gives some interesting history; it appears that this is the original church building, but has had a bit of work done (for example, new siding in 2000 and a kitchen in 2001). That same site also lists members of the church and how they left. Note - "dismissed by letter" is not quite as cruel as it sounds; that is the process used when a member of the congregation moved to another church. But "excluded" means just what you think it does.
